                Cherwell Canoe Polo Squad

Canoe Polo is an exciting branch of the sport played by many of the Cherwell CC members. For more information on the sport and rules visit the canoe polo section of the of the British Canoe Union (BCU) website. 

We currently have four open teams a ladies team and a youth team competing in the BCU National leagues.

Played both in swimming pools and outdoors, the pitch is up to 35 metres long and 23 metres wide. Teams compete to score by shooting into their opponent's goal - a netted frame, one metre high and one and a half metres wide, suspended two metres above the water. The soccer-sized ball is thrown or paddle-flicked between players
